Lovin' Summer! :)

Can I just saw how WONDERFUL it is to have a break from school? Sometimes I almost have to remind myself that this is real...it's not a joke. I really DON'T have things I "should be doing for classes". I really CAN stay up late with friends because I really DON'T have to wake up in the morning for class. It's glorious. :) I'm definitely going to enjoy it while I can! I've only been out of school for a couple of days but I've already had so much fun (and gotten very little sleep!)

Some of the highlights from this weekend....

#1) Golfing with my dad. I went golfing once with a friend a week or so ago (for the first time) and discovered that I actually really enjoyed it! All the guys in my family go golfing when we all get together, and my goal is to get decent so I can go with them next family reunion! So my dad and I went on a golfing date Friday morning (bright and early). I didn't do SUPER good but it was a lot of fun, and I also got to drive a golf cart for the first time ever. I for sure want to go golfing more often :)

Me and daddy golfing :)

I promise it's a practice swing...I didn't miss the ball :)
That's my Faja!

#2) My brother David and I went up to Kaysville on Saturday to spend the day with our friend Brynn (and her family), who lives there. We went to the store to grab food for lunch, then stopped at a place called Pace's for "Rainbows"....a.k.a. pure deliciousness in a cup. Seriously they were soo good. Basically they are slushies with soft serve ice cream in them. Provo needs to discover these. Then we went to Pineview Reservoir for a few hours. It was seriously heaven. I am a happy girl when you put me and the sun and the water all in the same place. Especially when you add good friends and some country music :) It was perfect. I could have laid there all day long. Unfortunately we couldn't stay long, and headed back to Brynn's house for dinner. We also walked down this trail by her house and sat by the river for a bit, then we got to look at some of her photo albums (and see her as an adorable little girl) and we also threw a frisbee around with her sister and dad. Our last plan of the night was to go to the "light park" (hard to explain...ask Brynn) but people were already playing on it so we got frozen yogurt instead...a great alternative. I was exhausted by the end of the day, but really had fun!

David and I :) I'm a lucky lil' sis!

Me with two of my best friends :)

We tried to capture David's "Huckleberry Finn" moment. Pretty cool pic!

...Then today was Father's Day and I went home to Payson to my home ward which was kinda fun to see some people I haven't seen in months. Had dinner with the fam, then came back home to relax with my sister's family. So excited to keep enjoying summer! :) :)

Iphone, Stir-fry & Fondue, and Hot Air Balloons!

So my most exciting news lately...I finally got the iPhone! I definitely don't regret it one bit. I've had the same phone for 2 1/2 years, and it was time for a new one. I absolutely love the iPhone. I could go on and on about it, but I won't. Just trust me when I say....you should all buy one. :)

Spring semester is almost over!! Wahoo!! Only one more day of class (after today), one essay, and three finals. Then freedom!! I'm so excited to have a break from school, and to finally be able to enjoy summer more! In my foods class (for our last day), we made a meal of our choice with a big group and it was so fun! We made a delicious stir-fry (yes everyone, Kassie ate vegetables! Well...except the peppers...), lemonade, and chocolate fondue. We got to decorate the table and have floral arrangements and everything. It was a lot of fun, and I've really enjoyed that class. I'm excited to cook more now!

On another random note...this morning Brynn and David and I went bright and early to go see some hot air balloons take off as part of Springville's festival this weekend. It was pretty fun to see them fill up with the air (talk about some huge flames!) and lift into the sky! Maybe someday I'll ride in one but I don't know...those baskets are super tiny...I think I'll probably pass. It was fun to watch though! Plus we got free doughnuts and David got a free T-shirt! Successful morning, I'd say!

P.S. And yes, all of these pictures were taken with my iPhone. :) Love it.
